The Belkin Wi-Fi enabled WeMo Switch and WeMo Motion Kit gives you wireless control of your home appliances and electronics, turning devices of your choice on or off as soon as movement is detected. The sensor plugs into an outlet and detects motion up to 10 feet away. It then sends a wireless signal to the WeMo Switch to turn the connected device either on or off. Download the free WeMo App to any smart device running Android (4.0 and later) or Apple device (iOS 5 or higher) to program a light to turn on when you walk into the house or a fan to turn off when you leave.

The WeMo Switch and WeMo Motion Kit makes it easy to set schedules for home appliances and electronics and turn devices on and off remotely. The sensor detects movement up to 10 feet away and wirelessly signals the WeMo Switch to turn the connected device on or off, depending on your preference. The sensor's 6-foot cord lets you place it in the optimal position.

The WeMo kit is completely modular, allowing you to control as much or as little of your house as you like. You can add an additional WeMo Switch to provide control of more areas of your home. Additionally, multiple switches can be linked to one sensor--turn on a light and heater or a set of lights at the same time with only one sensor.

To get started

Simply plug the sensor's A/C module into an outlet in your home and position the sensor. Next, plug the WeMo Switch into a separate outlet, and plug a device like a heater, fan, lamp, or stereo into the switch. Next, download the free WeMo App from the Google Play store or the Apple App store to your smartphone or tablet. Connect the WeMo Motion sensor and WeMo Switch to your home Wi-Fi network and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.
